Melbourne - it was good to be back home!!!

Hello everyone

Well, I have safely made it back to London from Melbourne. Although, Im still suffering the effects of jetlag.. in a big way!!!

I arrived in Melbourne from Gold Coast still with a severly burnt face!!

Clare was there to meet me at the airport, and I must admit it was a strange feeling seeing her after being away for 8 months. We were together for nearly 4 years before I left to go on my big adventure so I think we were both a little nervous about seeing one another after such a long time away. It was really great to see her again and we went straight to my favourite restaurant in Melbourne that Ive been missing.. condottis... I didnt even need to look at the menu to know what I wanted.. chicken al pollo...

The next day it was great to catch up with Rob.. back at my favourite restaurant again.. Condottis.... The following day we went to my fav shopping mall as in Doncaster Shoppo... what an establishment that place is.. still hasnt changed - thankfully! Then Clare and I got a bit to eat before checking out a show in Chapel Street called 'I sing' .. very enjoyable show and the first show Ive been to in a while that I havent fallen asleep in.. a sure positive sign that it was a good production.

The next day I went back home to Drouin.. it was so good to go back home and breathe in some fresh country air and have a home cooked roast with all the trimmings.. thanks Mum!!! you never fail to deliver... Lucky for my Christmas came early as I got my Chrissie presents as I will be away for Christmas.. Really enjoyed my day back home!!!

On Friday, Clare and I went to Geelong to the Adventure Park.. I thought the park had 22 waterslides actually that were 22 rides.. and some of them I wouldnt be classifying as a 'ride'.. oh yeah one other thing, they had 30 busloads of kids there so I think we were the only adults there besides the teachers.. A 6 year told me that I was too old to be going on this ride so I got scared and left... it was still a great afternoon and once again nice to enjoy some hot sun!!!

Friday night, I had my get together party in Richmond at Platform 3... I hired out the room upstairs and was joking all week that no-one would turn up and that everyone would have forgotten about me.. thankfully, I had 60 people who came along.. It was so good to see everyone again and to catch up on all the goss since Ive been away..

Then on Saturday afternoon I boarded a plane back to London... yiippeee another long haul flight... It was once again tough to see goodbye to everyone again..doesnt get any easier trust me... especially people close to your heart...

Im not sure when Im back next but it wont be too long away.. home is definitely where the heart is...

Thanks to everyone for coming along, with special thanks to my family and Clare for everything over the last few days in Melbourne and months since Ive been away!
